The World's View of a Woman's Work in the Home

“A parasite sucking out the living strength of another organism…the housewife’s labor does not even tend toward the creation of anything durable…. Woman’s work within the home is not directly useful to society, produces nothing. The housewife is subordinate, secondary, and parasitic. It is for their common welfare that the situation must be altered by prohibiting marriage as a ‘career’ for woman.”

The Second Sex, 1949 by Simone de Beauvoir

  1. Isn't that sick? Contrast that with the words of our Lord God Almighty! Proverbs 31, Titus 2, 1 Timothy 5:14, Song of Solomon, and many more. We know that the Lord delights in our role, because our role comes from Him!

    God Bless!
