New Year's

2011 is just around the corner :) I have been pondering the idea of a New Year's resolution and if I would like to make one. I, like many others, typically do not follow through with it. The top ten most popular New Year's resolutions are:
1) Spend more time with family and friends.
2) To get more fit with regular exercise.
3) Lose weight.
4) Quit smoking.
5) Enjoy life more.
6) Quit drinking.
7) Get out of debt.
8) Learn something new.
9) Help others more.
10) Get organized.

I would like to bypass a New Year's resolution and continue to devote myself to grow closer to God and work on Scripture memorization monthly. In reference to the list, I like numbers: 1,2,5,8,9, and 10. However, one person cannot do everything :) It's easier to set small goals and build on them rather than huge goals. I have this image of the perfect Christian young lady that I would like to be and it always seems unnatainable. God does not expect us to be perfect. I have to remember to give myself grace but strive to grow in different areas of my life.

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Your goal to memorize more scripture is wonderful. I too would love to be able to bring scripture to mind in any situation, because those words of truth are always perfect. God Bless you!

I thoroughly enjoy comments. Please be respectful. Thanks!
